How can I check if I’m registered to vote?

What if I’m not registered?
Can I still vote in November? If you’re not registered yet, you must do so by June 14. Unfortunately, if you miss this deadline, you won’t be able to vote on June 24. Register now and join others in the Ascend community in raising our voices!
Where do I vote, and what are the early voting hours?

Can I vote by mail, and how do I request a mail-in ballot?

Are children allowed at polling sites?
Yes, children are welcome at polling sites! Children are more likely to become civically engaged when they see adults in their families voting regularly, so please bring them along.
Where can I see a sample ballot to research the candidates?
Reviewing your ballot in advance is a great way to make informed decisions. The Board of Elections will provide a sample ballot.
What’s the purpose of the primary election if we vote again in November?
A primary election before the election. You must be registered with a political party to vote in a primary election. The winners of the June primary elections run as their party’s nominee in the general election held in November.
What is rank choice voting?
New Yorkers elected to use ranked choice voting in a 2019 ballot measure. You can learn more about rank choice voting and its potential benefits here.
